You need carbs, but eating low carb can work for you. Consume 20 grams of net carbs a day with 12-15 of them being from vegetables. Total carbs minus total fiber equals net carbs. The following vegetables are listed as vegetable name/ serving size/ carbs per serving:
    • Argula/ ½ cup raw/ 0.2
    • Bok choy /1cup raw/ 0.8
    • Celery/ 1 stalk/ 0.8
    • Chicory Greens/ ½ cup/raw 0.6
    • Chives/ 1 tablespoon/ 0.1
    • Cucumber/ ½ cup/ 1.0
    • Daikon/ ½ cup/ 1.0
    • Endive/ ½ cup/ 0.0
    • Escarole/ ½ cup/ 0.0
    • Fennel/ 1 cup /3.6
    • Jicama/ ½ cup /2.5
    • Lettuce Iceberg/ ½ cup/ 0.1
    • Mushrooms/ ½ cup/ 1.2
    • Parsley/ 1 tablespoon /0.1
    • Peppers/ ½ cup/raw 2.3
    • Radicchio/ ½ cup/raw 0.7
    • Radishes/ 10/raw 0.9
    • Romaine lettuce/ ½ cup/ 0.2
Balance these and other vegetables with lean protein, lots of water and exercise!

I wouldn't let a perfectly good pain au chocolat go to waste because I cannot manage my caloric budget properly.

Eat them. Budget them. Log them. Repeat.

A no carb diet is not sustainable. You can try a low carb diet with the suggestions above. It may prove to be a healthier option for you.

Maybe just cut carbs from your evening meal but never from your whole diet
