Hi I'm brand new to this and am really eager to lose weight. I am extremely overweight and have decided to get fit. Quit smoking start working out and have joined the Southbeach diet. (No carbs). I know I will find it hard but I am a single mum and am bored of my frozen food lifestyle. I would really appreciate some support and would like for people in similar situations to give their input

Hi jaydene. South beach isn't "no carbs". In fact, it doesn't even count carbs.

My Sister in law is a single mom of 3 kids....I know from her account it's tough. Just having a few minutes for yourself never happens... Thinking about managing food etc probably not a thought. I know you can do it! Just gotta give yourself the time to make it happen0
