Echoing the "see a doctor" sentiment.

    1. A personal trainer, you may think you are "exercising", but not doing enough.
    2. Weight lifting, doing squats and working with kettlebell is worth more than 10,000 steps a day. I walk 10,000 a day at my job, at the speed of elderly people and small children, it is not exercise!
    3. Denial. Weigh every single bite of food you eat. Measure it, and track every thing that goes in your mouth.
    4. Sleep, go to bed early and get up early.
    5. Stress, high stress creates cortisol, making weight loss more difficult.

i am terrified i have a resting metabolic rate of 600! (only slightly joking)

So, you're 3 feet tall and 75 pounds, or thereabouts?

Most people's basal metabolic rate is much higher than that, especially when you're younger.

    You have figured it wrong.

    This ^^

PLUS -- if you don't start budging soon, it would be worth having blood work done for hormone imbalance and leptin.

Chiming in to agree with seeing your doctor. It's a great idea to see one before jumping into weight loss/fitness anyways - all those commercial messages are true! Lol.

If your scale has not budged even an ounce in three weeks then maybe it's time for a new scale? And yes, it is a serious suggestion. Your scale might be broke.

In addition to seeing a Dr and ruling out an underlying health issue, etc, if discouraged with the lack of results, focus on your internal organs. Honestly, think how much more efficient they are becoming because you are taking care of yourself. Best Wishes.
