Garmen connect calorie adjustment

every once in a while I get a message on my fitness pal about earning extra calories from garmin connect. Is this coming from my fitness pal when I put in my exercise calories burned or is this something different? I don't want to have those calories burned double up because it sees the garmin connect and the my fitness pal calories burned.

    Check your app settings. It sounds like you have the two synced. You can leave it and just not log the calories manually, or disconnect Garmin Connect from My Fitness Pal. I find that my Garmin is more accurate as it bases calories burned on wattage as opposed to arbitrary estimates. You would need to be using a power meter to have that work.

    My husband gets a weird very small calorie adjustment that he just ignores. I have the same watch, settings on the app, etc, and I do not get it. I was getting double calories until I disconnected mfp from map my fitness, but it was obvious what was happening.
