BIkram Yoga Friends/Back issues

Hi! I'm 5'2.5" and 181lbs. I'm looking to get back to 115lbs. I have been going to Bikram Yoga off and on for the past year. I have many back issues so I'm very limited in what exercises/activities I can participate in. I'm looking for others who are also doing Bikram yoga or have back issues to share experiences and their weight loss journey.

  • I love Bikram, and although I haven't used it specifically to lose weight (I'm 5 foot 3 and stick around 8 and a half stone, so 119lbs? Is that right?) I find it amazing for toning up. My legs and stomach is much more toned when I've been going for a while, and I lose inches. I tend to make sure I engage my core as much as possible during the postures, sounds stupid but it's easy to forget to do! I find it really easy on my knees and ankles (slightly dodgy joints from dancing) so it sounds like it'll do your back some good, or at least allow you to work through it! Happy Bikram-ing!! X
