I am running an unofficial poll......

What do you call it??

Soda, Pop, Coke, etc.....

What do you ask for when you are craving that fizzy goodness?

Personally to me it is all Soda!

It is mostly based upon geographical location.

    I call it pop.

It's coke. It's all just coke.

If that confuses people, pop. Never soda. Soda sounds, weird. Snooty.

for the record, i say "soda," and find it odd that someone would call me snooty for using that word.

I just mean, the word itself sounds weird to me, not the person saying it.

We can be snooty together, or rather "more educated"

I always call it soda, but most people in my area do call it pop. I'm in southern Missouri.

I say soda when I'm talking about soft drinks in general, and the particular name of the soda when I want something specific.

Most of the time I am drinking Coke Zero, so most of the time I do say "I'm going to get a coke" when I need to say something like that.

i might be the first West Virginian ever (even tangentially) referred to as "snooty."

    Reminds me of this guy:

It's soda....as a kid growing up in the Midwest I called it sodie, then moved to the Pacific Northwest and they all say "pop" so I refined myself somewhat and say soda ☺️

It is pop. I drink pop. When someone says soda I immediately assume they are American. And when I hear soda, I also immediately think of soda water, which tastes awful.

LOL! Its all coke! Thank you! Omg! Why is there such a variation! Growing up in Dallas it was all coke. Went north and was friggin' shocked when I got Coke when I wanted dr pepper. I said I wanted A coke not the Coke...

Southern Oklahoma now (love the map) but its all pop here. Such a hick word. LOL!
