Knee pain help!!

I need some sort of fix for knee pain. Its been 4 weeks that i started running(3 days a week).
From last week my knees hurt.
Please suggest some fix.

Ice and an anti-inflammatory pill is the common response to this. Also make sure you have the correct shoes for the surface you are running on and double check the fit. I've heard of people using Tiger Balm or another sort of methol rub but that didn't work for me.
Some people have had success with taking glucosamine and chondroitin pills with or without MSM but not everyone seems to have success with this.0 -
There are two common knee injuries from running. The best thing I did for mine was get a foam roller and do a lot of research on the types of knee injuries and how to fix them. I stopped running for a few months and rehabbed it. Biggest advice is don't keep running on it if it hurts. Also, your body is telling you something when it's inflamed if you need to take medicine to be able to run, you shouldn't be running on it. Try the elliptical as it heals to keep fit. (I am not an expert by any means so take my advice with a grain of salt as they say)0

Wear knee sleeves; put tiger balm on under them. Ice afterward. Talk to a doctor. Don't do something now you will regret later.0

Absolutely agree with Heather. Also, I don't know how old your shoes are, but if you started to run in older shoes, those may be the culprit.0

I would need a little more info about what kind of knee pain you're having. If it's a dull ache that hurts during movement, but not with weight on it especially when going up stairs, then it's probably runner's knee. That can be caused by a few things.
1. Running too far too soon. For example, if you haven't run in years don't go out and run 3 miles at a time 5 days a week. Start small and build up
2. If you're getting shin splints too, it's because you're an overproner and not wearing stiff enough shoes and insoles. Overproning means your foot rotates inward as you run to where your body weight ends up over the inner edge of your foot instead of the middle. Your feet are just plain not able to absorb shock properly. Go to a shoe store specializing in running and get properly fitted for running shoes. Stiff insoles such as Superfeet or Powerstep can help.
3. It could actually be HOW you run. Getting properly fitted helped, so did easing into distance, but I still used to have minor issues with this. What made it all go completely away for me was finding a bunch of songs that had a beat of about 180 beats per minute and making sure my foot landed on every beat. This forced me to change from a heel strike to a midfoot strike while running. This matters because your foot is designed to absorb shock if you land in the middle of your foot. You land on your heel, your arch can't absorb that shock and it goes straight up your leg leaving your knee to do all the work, and it's not designed to do that with a straight leg.
