What are "macros"? I have been reading threads and hear mention of calories and macros. So what are they?

    Those would be fat, protein and carbs. :)

    ETA- it's not a dumb question btw... I asked that when I first started too.

    Also, just in case you don't know, micros are vitamins and minerals.

    macro nutrients
    ... as opposed to *micro* nutrients

    macros = things needed in LARGE quantity: protein, fat, carb
    micros = things needed in SMALL quantity: like iron, calcium, sodium, niacin, potassium, etc.
