Hey guys, my name is Steve. My weight has yo-yo'd my whole life and I've been on and off of diets, gone to weight management classes like Slimming World and even seen a dietitian during my teenage years.
I thought I'd give MyFitnessPal a go after Christmas as I was sick of the way I was looking and feeling about myself. Being a geek the app works well for me and scanning barcodes couldn't be easier.
I've been using the app for 25 days now and have only really started weighing myself this last week (I didn't have any scales). Having weighed in for the second time today I've lost 9lbs this week alone!!
I'm so happy and I just wanted to say thank you

Great start, 0.5 lb a week would be a great rate to lose weight at, so 9 lbs is a huge bonus. But if it ever gets down to 0.5 lbs a week loss, you're still doing great. Keep it up!

Cheers guys! I've got a way to go to be where I want to be but I'm aiming for 2lbs a week so was pleasantly surprised!0

Well done! I'm aiming for 1-2 a week too, but as I've got so much too lose I've been having big losses. It's a great boost. Keep up the good work0

Woo Hoo! That's wonderful! Keep up the great work. I am also relatively new to MFP and it's been a shocker how easy it is to keep track and lose weight just by staying accountable and pretty consistent. There are tons of resources here and so many helpful people. I, personally, love the Eat More 2 Lose Weight group because I never knew I could eat a reasonable number of calories and still lose weight.0
