I need to decrease my calorie goal without it messing up my past in MFP. I haven't found a way to do this. Help?

What do you mean "mess up your past"?

I don't think there's a way to do it. This drives me insane, too -- my goal in December 2013 was very different from my goal now, but changing my current goal changes my 2013 diary too. It makes comparison pretty difficult and gets me all red-faced and cranky about twice a month.

If you change your daily goal calories and then look at a previous day, that day's goal will have changed too.

Supposedly, MFP fixed this on the Web version and is working to fix it on the apps. I haven't tried it yet. The article was last updated 16 Dec 2014, so I assume it should be working now on the Web version.

    From the MFP Help pages...

It is correct on the Web--it shows my November calories at what I was eating then, & my current ones today
