 More for you! *sigh* I wish my taste buds listened to what my tummy fat was telling them.0

does it actually have any nutritional value? isn't it just water?0
-
That's why I said "for now"...cause I know it will grow old quick.
I like veggies but I like fattening stuff more.:ohwell:
I just recently joined the site
and just recently decided my health was too important to keep eating the way I want and not the way I should.
I saw you are new too.
good luck to us both!0 -

only if you eat enough of it does it add carbs.0 -
The darker the green, the more vitamin A it contains. Celery also contains vitamins C, B1, and B2; calcium; iron; magnesium; phosphorus; silicon; potassium; and sodium; making it a good electrolyte replacer, if used raw in drinks. However, it is the leaves that contain most of the nutrients. In cooking, fresh celery leaves can be used in place of parsley in an emergency.0

My problem is, I can't really eat the stuff without peanut butter!0
-
Well try the all natural peanut butter in it. Also I love putting Laughing Cow Light Cheese with my celery!0

Oh Jenn, I'll have to try the laughing cow cheese then........celery.....hm, what I like about celery? Pretty much just the sound of the crunch when I bit into it.......I'm more of a carrot girl:laugh:
Perhaps I'll try it again and rediscover it:drinker:0 -
Only problem with celery--which I love--is that it's relatively high in sodium given the size. I don't eat it anymore because of that. I've got HBP, so stick under 1600 or so mgs of sodium a day and celery just "isn't worth it" for me.0

I've researched it. It's not extremely high in sodium but like I said, it's not worth it to me to blow sodium on celery. The benefits of it on HBP are debatable, as most of those who claim it as such as are into herbal type medicines, etc.0

tonights snack is celery.
any1 surprised.....lol:laugh:0 -

I use celery to add the crunch factor to tuna fish salad, or as a side to a sandwich. I only miss the crunch of a chip, not the greasy yuckiness that is the chip itself. So I load up on celery and baby carrots.
YUMMY!!!:smokin:0 -
