On my way home from work today I was craving ice cream or something cold and sweet. I just got done with my walk at the park and its like 85 degrees outside.... and I was trying to decide where I could get something that would be the healthiest/lowest calorie and decided since I had everything at home I'd just wait and make my own.

2 Cups of Low Fat Vanilla Ice Cream
2 tbsp of Smuckers Sugar Free Chocolate Syrup
1/2 Cup of 100% Lactose Free 2% Milk

Made about a 16oz milkshake - it was yummy!

Best Part? It was only about 350 calories vs the 500-800 for the small shakes you get at Burger King, Chik-Fil-A, Etc. I COULDN't BELIEVE IT when I compared!! Lesson learned... if you wanna indulge... do it at home and not from a fast food joint!

What's your favorite (lighter) homemade sweet?

I have a Magic Bullet blender and I love to mix the following

    1/2 banana
5 or 6 small ice cubes
    1/2 cup frozen strawberries
1 1/2 teaspoons orange juice concentrate
4 oz vanilla or strawberry yogurt
    1 cup skim milk

    Yummy and healthy!
