Hi. I wonder if you can help. I only lost half a pound this week previously losing four pounds over two weeks. I have followed my calorie limit of 1200 very carefully. Don't know why I only lost half a pound. I don't always eat my full 1200 calories. Thanks for your ideas

Weight loss isn't linear. Some weeks you'll lose more, some you'll lose less, and some weeks you will gain. That's life! And if your profile is correct, with only 12 lbs left to lose, you really should only be aiming for a half pound per week anyway.

Also, eat all your calories. Unless you are tiny, 1200 cals really is the minimum. I am 42, 5'4", 135 and I'm at 1450 to lose half a pound per week...

What kimny72 said is correct. I can send you an article on reasons you might not be losing if you'd be interested.

Thank you. That helps. It is still losing just didn't seem a lot. Any articles would be welcome.

Keep at it, use a 2 week or monthly average to see the true trend.

Weightloss isn't linear. You're not going to lose your projected amount every single week. Some weeks will be low, some high, some none at all. As long as you're losing and there's a downward trend over time, you're doing good.
