What i would like to understand is if im suppose to have 1720 calories a day. What confuses me is how is it that i eat a lot less and my resulting net calories are always below 1200 calories. But yet, i feel full .. I exercise about an hour a day so about an extra 600 calories. 1720 is before the 500 calorie deflect. My point is, should i be worry?!

If your weight loss is happening too quickly, then add in more calories. Otherwise, if it's on track, I don't see a problem!0

If you're male and dropping below 1500 calories regularly then you probably won't be getting enough of your basic nutritional needs
MFP is NEAT ie you should eat back 50-75% of any specific exercise burns and hit your net calorie goal over the week
However if tracking shows you're not losing as expected over a couple of months you should reassess your calorie logging / exercise logging ...the numbers are guidelines what happens to your body over time is your best judge0 -
I looked at 4 days and your average is 1610.0

Many people underestimate how much they're eating. Apparently, even people who weigh and measure everything (if some of the posts are to be believed). If you eat below 1200 for very long, you'll start to feel hungry. If you don't, then you're likely eating more than that and don't realize it. The truth is in the scale. If you are losing more than you expect, then you aren't eating enough. If you lose less than you expect, then you're eating too much.0

1600 calories might be my average, but what i don't understand is what are NET calories? Is that the number i need for my goal of the day or is it the FOOD calories i should be looking at more and not the NET?
Thanks for your responses0 -
I would recommend eating standing up for awhile. Eating too low may or may not help with your goal. Are you vertically challenged? Seriously, it depends on many factors. So, if you are male, and only eating 1,200 calories you can look forward to slowing metabolism, lethargy, and an overall unhappy disposition to those around you. If you'd like to lose weight slowly and for the long term maybe eat more.0

Net calories are calories eaten minus exercise calories. 1720 is your target net calories. For example you start the day with 1720 calories, you burn 300 exercising, now you need to eat 2030 (1720+300) in order to net 1720 (2030-300). If you are losing weight at the desired rate try to keep your remaining calories as close to zero as possible, if not daily at least weekly.0

What on earth does standing up to eat have anything to do with his question?0 -

The "seriously" is your clue that they were joking.

Ask mockchoc, if she tells you the reason, then you will have learned a valuable lesson.0 -

Potentially. Can you imagine melted cheese upside down?
Props to the SF fan; been a fan since Marichal pitched. Bay teams are the best.0
