Yes, I get this feeling..
I now have a late period and I'm suffering from mood swings. I have huge cravings..i feel like I'm failing just like every time.
I'm so depressed even though I managed to lose about 4 kg recently. but still I suddenly can't control myself and my cravings.
I look at ppl who actually lost 100 Ibs and say that I'm not like them.
i keep thinking of doing a balloon operation even though I know it's dangerous.
i'm sad:(

I feel that way to sometimes. It took me an entire year to lose 57 pounds and I really thought I could make it to 100lbs lost in a year. But I am not giving up because I know it works it just takes forever. I am also realizing that this will be a life long challange and not a quick fix. Trying to make changes I can live with forever is a slow process. Keep trying and do one step at a time.
  • I know the feeling. I have a very difficult time staying motivated for long periods of time. I have to lose about 50 lbs and get so frustrated that I lose focus. I am a instant gratification kind of person and having something take so long gets me so frustrated

It took me about 18 months to lose 120 lbs, it's not a fast process, but it can actually be a fun one. Learning what my body could do, eating delicious food, finding out I was strong when people told me differently.

Don't make it difficult. Find a reasonable calorie deficit, log accurately, honestly and consistently, eat foods you like and make them fit into your day. You'll find in the process foods that will keep you fuller longer than others, and you can tweak that as you go along.

Have patience it takes time, but trust me it's worth it! Start learning about nutrition, how incredible your body is, and start the new adventure.

I've been getting so depressed and frustrated with my weight loss seeming to slow down lately. I'm a pound away from hitting a 75 lb loss and I feel absolutely ridiculous for all of my negative thoughts and feelings lately. It's been 11 months since I started this journey and I know that 74 lbs is awesome, I really do, but it still doesn't keep the negativity at bay. I feel like I should've been able to hit 100, I feel like I don't know who I'm looking at in the mirror some days, and other days I feel like there's just no way I can lose another 50-70 lbs to put me at my goal. But if you've lost one pound, you can lose 100. Lather, rinse, repeat. We just need to keep truckin and deal with our wacky emotions along the way. This is an emotional and life changing process to say the least. It's ok to feel overwhelmed. Hang in there!

I think that this is an emotional process. I don't blame anyone for getting down, even if you've lost a considerable amount of weight. Watching your body change and the stress of a diet is not easy. But it's doable, and if you're quite overweight, important for your health.

Live in the moment, don't think too far into the future. Eat the foods you want, but less. Enjoy yourself as much as you can. Be proud of every pound lost.

I've gained this weight and lost it too many times. It's possible! We just have to stay positive and keep trying. My doctor reminds me that it's an every day struggle! :) I'm still searching for the motivation myself ....

For me the key is to avoid foods that cause a spike in blood sugar. The resulting down swing of high glycemic foods causes me to be very hungry. Sugar derails me completely. Knowing this means I must completely avoid certain types of food. This will vary for different people.

dude I so understand. Sometimes I just lose my ish and binge. Like once maybe twice a month. Don't kill yourself though, just... start over tomorrow. If you feel the crazy hungries coming on, try a baked sweet potato or a huge salad with light dressing to see if you can head it off at the pass. I agree with avoiding anything that can spike your blood sugar. that means be very moderate about sugar or any refined carbs. Try not to purchase any binge foods or even walk by them in the store if you can help it. for hormone swings a lot of women have told me they get results by taking evening primrose oil supplements. It's worth a try, won't hurt you. Stay hydrated as well. Hang in there hon. Tomorrow is another day.

Nope. U won't always be fat. U r the boss. Not the fat. We get used to being plus sized but when we're ready to tackle it we can be the feisty lean person we were meant to be.
