To be in tip-top shape for pregnancy, that's how it started out for me. In Aug 2013, my doctor told me the best thing I could do if I wanted to get pregnant was to lose the weight beforehand. Now that I'm 30 pounds down and lifting weights twice a week, I know I've found a new lifestyle for me no matter what. I love the way it feels, I love the improvements in my looks, and I want to keep challenging myself to be my best.

I went to the doctor for the first time in 15 years for a physical. He said I was "obese". I knew it, just didn't like hearing it I guess

I had to walk around things
I was spending far too much money on fast food
I did not like the way I looked in the mirror
I could not see my feet when I stood up
I wanted to be able to ride a horse again
Restaurant booths were getting too small
The portion sizes at restaurants were getting too small

My husband had a heart attack. He is healthy now, thank God! It was a wake up call. I decided that in taking care of him that I needed to take care of myself.
