I am just getting started with my diet. My husband is very supportive, but he does not understand how hard it is to lose weight. Every time he diets with me in a week or two he is at his goal and the junk food piles up in the cabinet. I am trying very hard to do this on my own! I need friends to help me through this that are in the same shoes! Please help!!

Ask him to keep his snacks at his desk at work.

He just gets moody if he has to eat all of the heathy things on the diet with me at home. I understand that because I love food too. This is how I got here.

I too am sadly in the house with an enabler; my long time girlfriend keeps her junk food and soda in the house (buying more and more all the time). Even though she is also overweight, she also has "real" goals/plans to lose it. Her habits make it very difficult for me to keep on track.

If you'd like, we'll add each other for support.

My husband is the same way. I basically make three meals, every meal. One for my daughter, myself, and my husband. But I'll tell you, I've been tracking on here for three weeks and have lost seven pounds already. I have been buying myself healthier snacks like Atkins chocolate and almonds, flavored rice cakes, and lots of celery. I have about sixty to lose to get back to "wedding weight". I also use a six inch stepper at night while we watch TV to make my balance zero for the day, since I always go over on calories :-).

There is no need for special diet foods. Eat what you and your husband like just eat less of it. That is how we do it in our household.

I have been trying couch to 5k I think it is helping some! I use to be in shape and now I have no motivation to go to the gym. I have tried to buy an exercise machine for the house but until I can prove I can go to the gym like clock work I don't see my husband buying me one.
