I'm getting disappointed

I'm manic depressive but between my doctor and I, it's well managed. My problems are twofold. I need to do some cardio to stay around my goal weight. Unfortunately, we tried a drug for 30 days that not only didn't do anything, I gained 35 lbs! While trying to work that off, I dropped my motorcycle on my ankle! Argh! Now I have three months or more of staying off the leg as much as possible while the bone/tendons heal. So I've been at this for over two months and lost a grand total of 4 lbs. I'm wondering if there's anyone out there who can give me some suggestions on how to make the most of this under the circumstances. Thanks all!

    I'm not sure if it's something you'd be interested in, but what about using resistance bands so you can work on toning while you're limited on cardio options? Sorry to hear about all the set backs, but that you're still pushing forward is fantastic!
