1 Week- smaller, but not weighing less!

Hi guys, I've been using this thing for 1 week. My waist and hips are almost an entire inch smaller, but I weigh exactly the same! I know it's because I've gained muscle. I got something like 527 minutes of exercise during the week. I was also consuming a good 20 grams of branched chain aminos to stimulate the muscle synthesis pathways immediately afterward my workouts, as well as broken up throughout the day. I guess I still wish I weighed a bit less! Should I attenuate my weight loss goal based on the fact that I am building muscle? Should I have a "measurement" goal instead? I'm not really overweight or obese, I just have an extra 12 pounds or so of adipose tissue I'd like to lose.

Personally I'm of the opinion that people tend to get too fixated on such specific 'weght goals', when in reality the goal might be unrealistic for someone of their shape/size/build/muscle mass.
This is just my perspective, I know it isn't the right thing for everyone but, if you're happy and able to go by how you look in the mirror, or how many inches you lose then I think you should go with that!0 -
