Do you know any good exercise, apart from crunches, that can help flatten lower abs? I'm already on a diet to lose weight, but I want to do something to have a flatter stomach.

It is an exercise you learned as a child. It’s called moving around. Sitting removes almost all muscle activation in the body and shortens your hip muscles. The only thing you can do besides overall fat loss is to just be active and not sit as much.

Lowering your bodyfat is the only way to get a flatter stomach.
  • I know I need to move and I actually go to the gym twice a week for about two hours and I do crunches, lunges and sit ups at home, but unfortunately I have too much studying and lessons, so more than half of my day requires me to be sat down. I try to move as much as I can.

    This. Lifting heavy helps.

your calorie deficit is what will help most, regardless of how much you exercise.

Apart from reducing body fat, have you tried reverse crunches? Obviously until your body fat is reduced you won't see a flat stomach, but when it is you'll be able to see the results of all your work.

On the days you don't go, try and get a quick 30 to 45 minute walk at a brisk pace in. That's what I do.

I did the insanity workout for a while, and the Ab/Core workout was awesome. Not to long (about 15 minutes I think) but a great workout.

You could probably find it on the Internet somewhere.

    Beats boring crunches.

Unfortunately you can't spot reduce so you will have to lower your overall body fat to get this, really.

Not what you asked for, but please be careful. Your diary entries are scary, especially for your age. You are risking your health. You are eating very little calories, and these seem to be coming mostly from high calorie treats, not food. I know that as a teenager, looking thin fast sounds a priority, but you are going to damage your health. You need to reevaluate your goals and what you are eating. Right now, what you are eating is not enough to keep you healthy and let you exercise.

Sort of agree with agge, you need to be eating more.

Did you look at her entries, though? 4 oz homemade this. 1 tbsp homemade that. She has a ton of homemade entries. I'm guessing she's probably eating more than she realizes.
