How I Sneak Exercise In

    What? 75 calories burned while washing dishes for 30 minutes. Oh heck yeah, something to actually look forward to ;)

    not exercise but movement: everytime I catch myself thinking I don't wanna get up or don't wanna take that laundry downstairs, I force myself to do it anyway. I never regret it afterwards...I do enjoy the benefits though!!

    I'll walk to lunch... 9/10 miles there and 9/10 miles back... It usually burns about 190 calories.

    In addition to the washing dishes by hand, i also put on a CD while i'm cleaning up the kitchen, etc. & dance as i'm working. While at the sink, i do a lot of side stepping. Also, if i'm done with the cleaning, but the CD isn't done, i continue dancing until it is.

    Rather than squats (my knee doesn't like those) :noway: i do a lot of marching in place using different ranges of motion. I figure every little bit helps.

    Instead of buying water at work, we have a filtered water dispenser for free, but it's a good 5 minute walk to and from each way. So, at least three times a day, outside of lunch, I walk down 4 flights of stairs to get there and bring it back. Not only do I get to stretch my legs, and save money, I also get my mind revamped and I'm more productive. :) Not a huge burn but way more than what I did before I started doing this about 3 months ago. :)
