Always hungry!

Options
Ok I've been on this site and doing my thing for a bit now. There is one thing I am noticing is that I am always hungry! Not I didn't drink enough water so I think I'm hungry...actually hungry. Is there anyone else out there and noticing this? I figured it was because I was doing things right and my body was use to getting too much. I feel like all I do is eat because I've been doing the small meals every 2 to 3 hours. Is this a good thing or a bad thing or anyone else out there have this problem?

The past few days (read: 2) i've been having the same problem. I'm suddenly hungry all the time (and thirsty ever since i started drinking MORE water). I think my body is just still adjusting, so i'm going to let it go for now, eat small healthy bites when i get hungry and three good meals a day. If it keeps up, though, i'm going to increase my calorie intake, because obviously my body would not be getting enough food. The weight loss will just have to be a bit slower then, but it's better than starving myself.

Yes, I have the very same problem.. I try to eat right and nothing helps, the hunger is overpowering. Maybe we can figure this out together!

you may want to open your diary to let people make suggestions.

one thing that may be a problem is not enough protein or too many simple carbs. of course, i could be way off bc i can't see your diary, but if i had to stereotypically guess, this would be it.

many people can stay below their calorie goals w/o actually being nourished. i'm not saying this is the case for you, just saying it's easy to restrict to smaller amounts of the same things you always eat and then be famished come noontime.

Same here... I've noticed that as I start working out, I start getting hungrier. No way around that other than making sure to eat your exercise calories back or else I binge a day or two later.

I've also switched my breakfast meal from yogurt/granola, cereal or oatmeal to protein shakes and green shakes, and I am able to stave off the hunger pangs till lunch which is super amazing for me.

When I get famished, I eat some nuts or an apple. The apple is the most filling.

Hope this helps. Good luck! You can do it!

for instance, for the past two weeks i've been drinking a green smoothie every morning before my bike commute to work. i have it at around 7:00. i leave for work around 8:20, get there at about 8:45, have some coffee and water, but by 10am i would be seriously hungry.

now, the smoothie is totally packed with nutrients and fiber, but what it was missing was protein to keep me satiated. so i bought some hemp protein powder and have been adding that to the mix, which has helped considerably.

i noticed that, still, my protein was considerably low (because i don't generally eat meat) so i bought some whey powder to increase the protein and keep me satiated longer. it's all a process, so if you're hungry, look at what you've got going on and then assess what things you're missing and tinker with it

Me too! I'm always hungry! But I honestly think it's because I've been way more active and my metabolism is speeding up. That's my guess anyway.

I've been on the lookout for hemp protein powder....where did you find it?? Did you have to hit up the health food store? :)

Well I opened up my diary for people to look at. I know I'm not lacking in protein because I talked to a digestive specialist and she said when you were losing weight to add protein to every meal and it will help take off the weight

I am having the same issue, NONSTOP hungry and none of the low-calorie lean protein and/or fruit and veggie options I have been trying are doing me much good.
