Vegetarian fat shredder recipes - 50 % protein, 30 % carbs, 20% fat - Help!
Hi all,
I have been doing the Insanity workout for nearly a year now - it has worked well so far and I have lost around 1 and a half stone. (i was 12 stone - down to 10.5).
Whilst doing this work out, I did not stick to a meal plan - the one provided with the workout. So although I have lost weight overall, my body still has more fat than I would like and is un-toned. This year I wish to try and stick to a meal plan to get rid of extra fat and tone up.
I read up the fat shredder diet which consists of 50 % protein, 30 % carbs, 20% fat a day. Being a vegetarian - I am finding it difficult to try and stick to this - any one have any suggestions?
I need my body to be looking right for a sunny holiday later this year!
All comments and advice is welcome.
Thanks!

Seitan! It's 70% protein. How vegetarian are you? I know some that will eat fish and/or eggs, and if so, tilapia and egg whites can help get your protein up there for the day. You'll really have to plan your day out in advance to hit that on a daily basis though.0

If you eat dairy, then 0% greek yogurt is your friend. ~71% protein and 29% carbs.
You might need to resort to protein powder. There are a number of vegan-friendly plant-based powders on the market if you aren't comfortable with dairy-based powders.0 -
You'll lose the same amount of weight (fat and otherwise) eating the same number of calories in any ratio.
Getting enough protein is ideal if you want to preserve as much lean body mass (muscle) as possible while you lose weight, but there's nothing magic about a 50-30-20 split.0
