There once was a time where i was in great shape, a time not that long ago. Over the past 5-6 years i have let myself go and put on about 40lbs and have lost a lot of my strength. Im looking to get back to where i was. I have a lot more distractions and responsibilities in my life now that i did not have back in the day. It is hard to find time to exercise and eat correctly. Hopefully this site will help me track my nutrition because i have NEVER been any good at it. Once i start seeing even small results i will be back in the groove, hopefully i didn't lose too much muscle memory!

Male

Currently:
225lbs
5' 9"
~30% bf

Goal (where i used to be):
185lbs
~15% bf
Stronger.

Anyone else used to be in great shape, and let themselves go and want to get it back with me?

  • You must create time for your workouts. You don't need time to eat correctly, you just need will power, which you have. Stop making excuses for yourself. You've taken the first step and created a goal. Dive in and get started on a consistent workout program! You know what to do and you have the ability to do it, SO DO IT!!!
Best of luck on your weight loss journey!

I am in the same boat as you. I use to be 143 lbs and then after two kids and stress and life I let myself go. I was up to 225 and so unhappy as well as unhealthy. I soon realized that I had to do this for myself and since I didn't have time to work out I made a huge career change and started working on and farm with my husband and I have lost over 25 lbs and feel better and recently realized I'm still not healthy. I eat crap all the time and I have recently gotten back on track to eating healthier and I'm trying to workout when I can. It just takes time and dedication but as long as it is something you truly want you will achieve your goals. You just have to believe in yourself!
