Exercises to slim your thighs/legs?

Hey guys, so I was wondering if you all could help me and list some exercises that SLIM your thighs/legs. I recently came across several articles that said that squats don't actually slim your thighs/legs down to make them look more slender, and that squats can actually make your legs bulkier/larger due to the increase and building of those muscles.
What exercises will make my legs slimmer and won't cause my legs to become bigger due to muscle gain/growth?
Thanks

I think it really depends on the weight your doing with squats. If you overkill them and lift heavy of course they'll get bigger. I prefer body weight squats or lighter weight when just trying to tone. High reps. Try a narrower and wider base. Also "sumo" squats are awesome.
Amazingly, jumping rope is an good leg/calf workout. You'll feel the burn and get cardio in at the same time.
Side lying hip abduction with a few lbs around your ankle is good. Make sure you stack your hips so you don't cheat by using your hip flexors or glute max.
Calf raises over stairs with light weight.
I do glute flutters in front of the TV all the time. Just lay on your stomach, contract your glutes and kick your feet about 6 inches. Add ankle weights as needed
Bridges are good for hamstrings and abs. Be sure to contact your TA and glutes when doing them. You can add weight by holding a barbell or plate on your stomach.
Message me for more. I'm just about done with my certified strength and conditioning cert and going into health care as a PT.

You can't spot reduce. Your legs will slim down as you lose weight and firm up as you sevelp your entire body.0

Squatting heavy will not make your muscles larger unless you are eating at a calorie surplus, and even then you will not become "bulky". You have to lose fat to slim your thighs.0
