Hi! My name is Joyce and I am an empty-nester (last son off to college, WOOT WOOT!) who has recently been diagnosed as pre-diabetic. I am dieting and exercising to improve my health, bring down my blood pressure, and generally feel better physically. I have 65 lbs. to shed, hoping to find information, inspiration, advice and a few kindred spirits here. Please friend me!

I was also diagnosed with pre-diabetes. Since then I started running and eating better and have lost aboout 22 pounds so far. My most recent bloodwork showed my blood sugar was fantastic so my changes must be working. (yay) I definitely try eating fewer carbs than I used to and focus more on carbs from fresh fruit and veggies. I'll send you a friend request. I could use some new, more active friends on here also.0
