Hi everyone,

I started my weight loss journey at 5'2 and 135 lbs which is the largest I've ever been. I've lost a little over 23 lbs down to 112 and feel great! I lost most of it from strict dieting and very light exercise of walking with some strength training. Last week (Monday to be specific) I started working out every single day doing 20-25 minutes on a high level on the stair mill at my gym and being more consistent with my strength training along with a 3 mile walk a few times a week. I'm working out 5 times a week because I actually really enjoy it and love how it makes me feel afterwards. I've stayed within my calorie goal and eat pretty clean. I eat a coffee and 2 eggs in the morning usually, sometimes with Killer Daves grain bread with some organic peanut butter (I don't like all the added sugar in main peanutbutter companies) A Nugo bar for a afternoon snack/lunch then usually some veggies or fruit with greek yogurt and then chicken, fish, or some sort of protein for dinner with more veggies. Oh, I also usually have a green smoothie in the late afternoon which has a cup of kale and spinach, pineapple, mangos, and banana. My goal is to lose another 7 lbs and get to 105. Everyday I weigh myself it fluctuates between 112.4 and 111.6. So, do you think I've just hit a plateau and need to give it time since I don't have much more to lose? Or do you think I need to change something in my diet. Thanks in advance!

I can't see that in your diary. Are you not logging this?

No, I stopped logging all my foods a while ago. I log stuff that's already in my frequent foods. But I always stay at 1100-1200 calories. And yes, I weigh my foods.

Okay, totally freaked me out. You know you're at an ideal weight. When you do strength training are you doing progressive?

So your starving yourself! You need fuel to burn fuel. You increase your exercise routine so you need to increase your calories. Eat back the food you are burning. You will still be in deficit, but your body won't go into shock. You are just not eating enough to sustain that amount of activity.

Lol, I don't blame you! I know I'm at an ideal weight but I was 105-110 for a long time and felt my best at that weight. And maybe I'm out of the loop but what is Progressive? I do dumb bell weights 3 times a week working my weights up. Usually 3 sets of 10 a few times. I do shoulder press machine, chest press machine and I do leg press machine 3 times a week along with squats. Not an expert yet but learning! I did competitive cheer for a long time so automatically built muscle just performing.

Angraham2- So, you're saying I should increase my calorie intake since I'm working out more now? I guess that makes logical sense.

Progressively lifting heavier (gradual increase). Maybe you should try a re-composition?

Oh, yes I have been gradually increasing my weights about every 2 times I do strength training. Yes, maybe I should try a re-composition. Eat more on the days I lift. Thank you!

you definitely need to eat more and you definitely need more protein as well. weight fluctuates for everyone and the closer you are to your goal weight the slower you will lose it. from what I saw of your diary you are not getting even the minimum amount of protein for a woman.1100 calories is too low. I would eat at least 1400-1500 since you are doing all that exercise.you are at a healthy weight range how much weight are you lifting?how long?
