After a rough start, hubby is now getting to where he looks forward to working out at the gym and feels great afterwards. I think it's gonna be good progress for him from here on out.

Awesome! Be sure to reward progress handsomely.

LOL I see where ur going with that. No worries. ;) I'm quite skilled at the rewards system.

Dude his lat pulls? 200 lb. The entire weight stack. I think I may have to nickname him "Sherman," for Sherman tank. :open_mouth:

He's in a very sweet spot (not referring back to my innuendo but) when you get into that virtuous cycle - this feels good! I'm going to do it more! Wow, I did better/lifted more/kicked butt! I'm going to go again!

It's easy for us to fall into the opposite cycle - I'm miserable. I'm gonna eat that there chocolate and sit on the couch and try to forget my troubles. Oh crap I suck at life, I need cheering up, I'm gonna eat that there chocolate and sit on the couch and . . . .

Yeah he started off half-@$$ing it for several months in that "I'm miserable. I can't do it. Why am I bothering. BLARRRRGH eat all the choc and drink all the beer" but then suddenly it's like he got into a new and rewarding mindset. Some endorphins kicked in, or maybe, I think the 200 lb lat pulls had something to do with it! XD If I could lift that, or even more than 50 lol I would feel like superwoman. So of course I'll be doing the most I can to keep him feeling good about it and wanting to go back to the gym with me. He will see how awesome it is when he drops a clothing size and suddenly has many more options of what to wear.
