Needing some support

Hi!

I've been off MFP for the past year or so. I got really tired of counting calories and stressing about food all the time, and I had spinal fusion surgery this past summer with a five month recovery. I'm doing physical therapy now and getting back into going to the gym. Well, trying to get to the gym, but since I'm still recovering it's sometimes too painful to get there.

Eating healthy is easy during the day, but after I exercise or eat healthy I binge...which was a big problem while I was counting calories, but it's still happening. Usually when I'm nervous, and since I have a job interview next week I am kinda nervous.

I'm torn between loving myself how I am and wanting to lose weight. I've lost 50 lbs twice in my life, and lowest was in 2012. With my surgery and some family problems in 2013-2014 I gained about 40 lbs...today picking out suits for my interview I realized I really need to try again.

I'm thinking of going back to my therapist to deal with my food issues. I think I have a lot of fears about losing weight. If anyone else has experienced that, I would love to hear how you overcame it.

Thanks for reading!

If you're like me you still like your snacks and sweets. You can still have them, you just need to plan for them and fit the calories into your daily goals. That means eating a smaller meal at lunch or dinner so you can have what you want.

See, that part I get. And I've done it before. I'm just unable to do it now...even if I try to avoid it I end up in a blind binge fest around 9 PM.
