Lonely shoes :( FREE SHOES

I know this is really random... but I have two pairs of nice, expensive Birkenstock sandals. The problem is: I only have one of each shoe (the puppy ate the pairs... ugh). I don't want to throw away the perfectly good shoes, but I'm also not sure what to do with them. I looked online but all of the sites that accept single shoes request that they are not worn. Is there anyone on here that would like them? Perhaps you know of someone who only needs one shoe or has two different sized feet? Idk... it just feels such a waste to toss them!

Here are the links to the shoes:

(size 38) RIGHT SHOE (silver)

(size 39) LEFT SHOES (brown)
....In fact, as I take a closer look at these, they are totally wearable. It's just a small part of the rubber sole that is chewed off of the right shoe. I would totally still wear them, except they don't fit me anyways) The same can be said for the other pair. They are wayyy still wearable if you want a comfy pair of sandals for the garden or whatever, or possibly a chew toy for your dog. Which my dog obviously thought they were)

Let me know! They of course are free, I just don't want them going to waste! Message me if you are interested.

Damn, that sucks. Sorry 'bout your Birks.

My dog doesn't chew shoes... he chews doors / knobs. :(
  • You might want to contact one of your local hospitals or clinics. Perhaps your shoes could be used by an amputee?

    Just a thought.

I was going to say if same style you could take to a cobbler and have them dyed to match maybe look up charities for amputees

The problem is that all the charities for amputees insist that the shoes are new. Mine are not brand new but there are just fine shoes :/

hi, I wear a 10 in women's. How would I determine if they would fit me? I would pay you for them... If they fit.

Maybe you should just give them to the dog. He seems to like them anyway.

Just make sure you log it in the dog's mfp account ... how many grams of carbohydrates in a Birkenstock???

  • I understand that the hospitals only want new shoes.

Please don't consider this a silly question - but if you have something like Craigslist available in your geographic area, could you possibly list them there?

I have a feeling that someone truly in need would be extremely grateful for your generosity.
