The new life shouldn't be too much different than your current/old life.

As you go on counting calories and learning about the caloric content of food, you will begin to develop an appropriate sense of serving sizes and caloric density of foods ("oh wow, peanut butter packs a lot of calories per unit volume!").

You'll realize that things you ate absent-mindedly before might actually be super high in calories and not that satisfying.

You will learn how to make more informed decisions about what you put in your body and in what proportions.

Hopefully you will cultivate and enjoyment of exercise simply for the pleasure of it, rather than aesthetic or health goals.

None of these things are things to be apprehensive about. These are great things.

Hey tim! it really is nothing to be nervous about, once you shift into maintenance or even muscle gain you get used to your calorie level, ive been tracking for alittle over a year and I can usually go an entire day without tracking and still be within 100 calories of my goal. It should be a time of celebration that you can appreciate your new physique and appreciate all your hard work. Because we all know that lose weight is definitely hard work! keep going strong and enjoy the process, its lifechanging

Is it normal? Probably. I've seen several people on here that seem like perpetual weight losers. I imagine they might be nervous about it. Am I nervous? No.
