Can't believe I am posting these...
Background story: Thoughout high school and my Army career, I was no more than 98lbs (I am barely 4' 11) Once I left Active Army and joined Army National Guard, I put on about 18lbs in less than 6mths getting to almost 120lbs.
A couple years later, I got pregnant and weighed 174lbs the week I gave birth. I thought I would lose at least 20lbs after giving birth. No such luck, not even one ounce. I was 174lbs for two years post pregnancy, regardless of how much exercising I did or how much I watched what I ate. Doctors would never listen to my symptoms or complaints.
Finally, two moves and I found a doctor who listened. After finally another year later and getting my weight down to 154lbs, I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. My doctor believed I actually got it sometime after leaving the Army because of the symptoms I was having then that went untreated/undiagnosed. I just attributed them to a change in my daily routine with no longer being in the military.
Well, with moving around a lot (military family) I have currently been on 4 different types of thyroid medications in the past 11mths. Still do not have medication worked out at all and still have a lot of bad days, however, once I found Insanity I did start to notice some weight loss. I got more energy, starting working out to Insanity. Then after 2 mths of Insanity (did not do mth two as instructed) I also started to see a personal trainer and also joined MFP.
So, here is my progress so far starting since Sep 2010 (I started Insanity then, did one week then went off of it due to plantar fasciitis causing me foot pain- I started Insanity back up again taking it seriously on Jan 26, 2011. I did not take photos again that day since I had not lost anything spectacular since the Sep 2010 photos. So, all together since the true beginning of my weight loss journey I have lost a tad over 54lbs.
(sorry for quality, think I need new camera) Front view from 2May is my profile picture
Still need to take a back view photo, still have some work on my back love handles, but they are soooo much better now
Thank you for allowing me to share these... I still don't know if I am ready for these to be posted to the world yet

Congrats on your success! I get sucked into those infomercials every time but I'm going to give Zumba a try. Yesterday was Day 1. Maybe I should take some "before" pictures and save them for a rainy day. Happy Mother's Day!0
