Daily calories against weekly calories - big weekend coming up

I've read a bit on here today about this, as long as the weekly amount of calories averages out then its not so bad etc etc.
I have a big birthday coming up this week and going out on Thursday and Saturday. I tend to drink quite a lot when I'm out (typical binge drinker!!) so have calculated what my intake will be these days. It's going to be a shocking total of 6000 calories over for those two days/nights. I'm on 1770 calories per day from 2770 and going quite steady since Christmas but this will ruin me.
My question, if I was to reduce my calories to say 1400 each day for the next two weeks, would this be beneficial or shall I just take the hit.
Its my birthday and there will be no stopping me from indulging. I know there are certain drinks that are less calorific but I am picky and I wouldn't enjoy myself if I was drinking vodka and tonic all day. Cider and alcopops are my demon!!!!
Thoughts.

3,500 additional calories = 1 additional pound. approx.
stop freaking out, don't starve yourself but do be mindful of what you consume before / afterwards. You're going to be just fine.
btw~ Many times, temporary additional weight gain is caused by sodium/water retention.
and weight drops back down after a couple of days once the sodium & alcohol is flushed from your system.
tip~ drink at least 1/2 glass of water BEFORE EACH alcoholic drink.
Have fun (and hope your group has a designated driver!!).
Happy Birthday

Hey Aj, that whole weekly total thing isnt really true, considering your body is constantly digesting the food you eat weekly totals dont mean much. Dont decrease your calories on the days before itll only hurt you in the long run. Enjoy yourself this and worst comes to worst youll gain 1-2lbs and itll just set you a week behind. This is a lifestyle change thing so you have to be able to enjoy yourself right? Have fun with your friends and just get back to it monday.0

Enjoy your festivities. Don't drive. Congrats on doing so well since Christmas. You've proven you can lose a dozen pounds, nothing wrong with losing 1-2 of them again. And most importantly, have an awesome birthday!0

Cheers for the advice guys. Part one of the weekend done, the numbers aren't pretty but you only turn 40 once. Part 2 on Saturday then back to being good!!!!0
