this may be a dumb question but, how do i add these exercises with the proper sets, weights, and reps? i cant seem to find them on here. these are some of the exercises i have been doing, but haven't really charted, or recorded them here. but i feel like i should so i can determine the calorie intake, and calories burned. any suggestions?

Just log as weight lifting under cardio. You don't burn much lifting, and the calories burned vary widely based on a lot of factors, so MFP doesn't calculate based on specific lift/rep/etc.

Does Mfp figure caloric burn in the strength training section now? I've always had to log strength training as cardio to have it log my exercise calories.

You could use map my fitness which will log it for you but be aware it massively overinflates
  • Gotcha. Thanks guys

Endomondo will also log strength training calories to My fitness pal, but they seem rather high, as well.

I wouldnt use MFP to log strength training, there are hundreds of apps that can be used to do this. My personal favorite is called Fitnotes.

Need more info man. What kind of rep and set range do you do? I can most likely give you a decent plan but I need more info on what your training looks like now. Tag me in your post

MFP is a calorie tracker. If you want to track detailed workouts log on to Fitocracy. It's the best site/app out there with a similar community.

I use Jefit to track my lifts, and Wendler 531 app to tell me how much to lift. I haven't tried Fitocracy, but Jefit works well for me.
