Looking for some friends

Discouraged with myself and looking for some friends to help me with losing weight. I have been on this site for three days now, and each day I have went over my goal intake. I have been exercising and drinking my water like I am suppose to and have only lost one pound. Don't know if that is good or bad, for three days but I feel alone and need some motivation and support.

    Discouragement is normal, we all go through times of discouragement. I would encourage you to be patient with yourself. Hang in there and keep tracking your food and exercise time. Healthy eating and exercise habits need to be a life long goal. Instead of constantly looking at the scale for progress feedback, just recognize the small daily successes in your life. Change takes time and patients and a lot of hard work.

    I just joined five days ago. I am trying to log my food and take 10k steps a day for right now. I've gone over my calories too but since logging everything is a victory in itself for me, I am going to just keep doing it and see where I am a month from now. It keeps me aware of what I eat and I really like the nutrition breakdown. I needed to do something and wouldbe glad to keep in touch with you so we can talk about our progress. I like what Scott said, little steps. good luck, keep me posted!

    Greetings and welcome,
    Im a 40 day noob myself, I have really benefited from this program and am learning a ton on the site. Lots of very supportive folks and like anywhere some who are not. Dont be discouraged but know its normal to feel that way. In the long run the pay off is great.
