So I weighed in at 16.8 this morning and i thought great I've lost about 7 lbs in a few weeks seems reasonable.now we had a cheat meal tonight and I went over cals by around 500. Weighed in 15.9 thinking ok cool. Then realised that wife moved scales. Tried again out of curiosity to check consistency and 17.2... then again when moved a tad 16.8 then 16.5 then 16.13 bla bla.so annoying as I now have no idea what I am! What can I do.... feel like I've done nothing now as latest way in is 16.13 after resetting and seems to stick even when moving around

Some scales are really sensitive to being moved around.
Having said that, that much variation isn't normal for a scale. I'd suggest getting a better scale.0 -
That scale is a brand new one with great reviews. Reasonable price also like £50 which is considered a decent one. Just think it needed resetting as there is no variation now but just sucks that I'm much heavier than expected0

That does suck, been there. Just have to brush it off and aim for that weight that made you happy. Smile at yourself for even working at it and caring enough about yourself. Feeling bad won't really help but use it as a motivator if it helps Good luck!0

Yeah I mean that's all I can do I spose. Just very gutting to think one thing and realise it's not true...0

I bought new scales recently that weighed me 6lbs heavier than the last ones. I was convinced they were wrong but, having checked them with one of my husbands weights, was disappointed to find that they were correct and the old ones were wrong. I know what you mean by gutting!0
