Making or breaking a habit

I'm pretty sure everyone has a habit which they'd like to break, or a habit they'd like to start. I know that I do for once, and every one I know seems to have one or the other.

And apparently to make or break a habit, it takes just 40 days.

So here's my challenge
For the next 40 days, choose to either break or make a habit and follow it.
Post it on here and see this as day 1 :)

It could be anything, doesn't have to be with food
It could be to stop biting your nails, or to get into the habit of drinking a glass of water when you wake up. Anything at all :)

My habit to break is to stop taking spoonfulls out of jars :P It's my main weakness ^^

Excellent idea! I'm going to start one today. My new habit will be to drink a full glass of water before each meal. (should have been doing that all along)
  • 40 days? That would take me to the 17th of June (I think)... Feels like a long way off but I will take one day at a time. I am going to stop snacking between meals.
  • Nice idea !
I believe I read something about a recent study about habbit's that it takes about 40 days( 6 weeks ) to turn something into a habbit.

Ill take this as Day 1 also to test it and I will stop biting my nails its a verry annoying habbit I just cant seem to get rid off.

Good luck to everybody making or breaking there old or new habbits !!
