Hi all,

I am hoping to meet my first goal by my prom, which is 155 pounds. I have five weeks left to lose the last three pounds for my first goal, and frustratingly it doesn't seem like it would like to come off. I haven't really plateaued because I'm still losing inches, but does anyone have any tips for me to help lose the last 3? thanks :)

if your losing the inches that means your fat is becoming muscle, muscle weighs more then fat those scales can be deceving if you look good worry less about the weight.

Drink lots of water and watch your sodium intake. Keeping sodium aroun 2000 mg a day (instead of MFPs 2500) seems to work well for me.

I'd take inches over lbs any day, lucky you! I'm sure the lbs will come soon too, just don't rush it. You don't want to get into habits for short-term loss that won't help in the long-term just for a number on the scales.

Congratulations on nearly accomplishing you goal. If you're losing inches I wouldn't worry so much about the number. Definitely drink a lot of water, and maybe look into calorie zigzagging, I hear a lot of people break plateaus that way.

My pat answer to this question is MEASURE. Measure everything that passes your lips, measure you calorie burn with a HRM, and measure your progress. It's human nature to over estimate. Calorie burn and under estimate what we eat. Good luck! Don't be discouraged. If a fat old guy like me can do it, so can you!

You might want to make your food diary public so people can look at it and see if there are some things you can change. Hard to say what might be causing the scale to stay the same without knowing what you are eating, or what kind and how much exercise you are doing.

Congrats on your progress so far!
