I am definitely going to see a doctor asap, these spots keep getting worse day by day I've applied vitamin e lotion, ambi fade cream, almond and honey and nothing is working... they usually appear as little red spots after workouts but I am really scared I don't now what they are.. can they be broken capillaries?? What kind of doctor should I see? Primary care, dermatologist???? Please excuse my hairy *kitten* leg I am so scared I haven't even shaved due to fear or this worsening and the white spots are ambi fade cream

The picture makes it just look like bruises...How long have they been there? I would see your primary if you are finding random bruises often with no known cause.

Well it started off as a brown spot on one of my toes then gradually on my ankles and now it's coming upward towards my calves they don't hurt, itch or bug me at all maybe once in a while they''re a bit itchy... it's super scary and it sucks knowing I can't wear shorts ... thank you!

From the picture they look like bruising but if you're really worried and they seem like they are spreading, see a doctor. What kind of exercise do you do?

Strange that you don't know how that happened.

They almost look like burns...very odd.

If you already have a good dermatologist, start there. If not, PCP is probably fine.

My first though was venous insufficiency.

I'd skip the dermatologist and see your regular doctor ASAP. In the meantime, try to avoid activities that seem to make it worse and elevate your legs.

    Good luck to you.

Are you currently taking blood thinners, or any other medication that could thin your blood, even aspirins can do that and so can some herbal supplements like garlic or gingko biloba. Are you really exerting yourself and not getting adequate rest between workouts? You may also be anemic. Definitely talk to a doc if this is freaking you out for your own peace of mind, but its probably just an exertion issue.

Get yourself into urgent care if your primary care doc can't see you tomorrow. I wouldn't let it wait.

My first thought was venous insufficiency as I suffer from this disease. I had that redness, but now mine is normal skin-tone color. How are you doing now? You can PM if you wish. I know all to well about chronic venous insufficiency.

I'm always going to suggest seeing a doctor for unexplained bruising. Always.

My first thought was petechiae - bruising usually caused by a clotting problem. I got these all over when I first got ITP and my platelet count was very low. I know this thread is from a couple months ago so I'd love to know how things went with the doctor and if you're okay now
