Aria Scale for Body Fat %

Has anyone had experience with the Fitbit Aria scale. I got a Fitbit a month ago and really love it. I'm wondering if the Aria scale is worth the investment from both an accuracy standpoint as well as the convenience of syncing with my Fitbit app and dashboard.
I have an old (~10 years old) scale that does weight and body fat %. I know it's not all that accurate compared to an actual lab test such as the Bod Pod. But I also think it's more accurate than some methods of taking hip, waist, forearm measurements and plugging them in to a chart. I'm wondering if the technology in an Aria or other scale made this decade (!) would be better than my old one or if it's all the same technology.
My goals for 2015 is to lose body fat (not necessarily weight due to wanting to increase muscle mass). So I'd like something relatively accurate and reliable to track this.
If anyone has a suggestion of a good alternative, I'd like to hear opinions.

Bump for also wanting to know.0

I *just* bought one last night.
This scale had me 4lbs heavier than my older digital scale... The Body fat % though has me a bit worried. I measured myself last night, and three times consecutively this morning and I got four different results...
There's a 14 day return policy on it so I'm going to keep a close eye on it...
Nice looking scale though, easy to set up... Integrates well with Fitbit of course and MFP.0 -
I took mine back.
The body fat number is garbage. Different every time.
I think the scale weighs low too.
Hardly worth the money to save me three button pushes to log my weight.0 -
Agreed, bf% scales are notoriously inaccurate. You'll likely do better with the old school measuring tape version of determining bf.0

As far as I know, BF-Scale measurements are very dependent on how hydrated you are. Thus it's important to do the measurement in a similar body state. Probably easiest in the morning. Even though the measurement is not a 'true' value in comparison to a bod pod, the trend should show you where you are headed.
But this is just what, I've read or heard. My scale only does weight and sadly I don't have access to calipers or a bod pod. I use body measurements, plug them in and follow that trend. Just as the scale...not a 'true' value, but the direction should be correct.0 -
Hmm - I got one about two weeks ago. I weigh myself at the same time every morning, after the bathroom, in my birthday suit. My bf %s have varied within a very tight range: 0.2%. The one time I stepped on the scale in the evening it was about 1% different. I think consistency in the conditions when you weigh is key.0
