70 days since I joined and trying hard.

Wife and I both joined this website 70 days ago. My mother passed away Feb 14 and we decided to finally lose weight as a tribute to her. I have lost 27 lbs so far and my wife has lost 11 lbs so far. We joined the local athletic club and go 3 to 4 times a week. We both work 3rd shift so some days it's hard to get motivated to go. We usually do 2 miles on the treadmill then some machine weights. I love to do interval training on the treadmill. 4 minutes at 4mph then 1 minute of 6 to 7 mph to spike heart rate..then 4 minutes back at 4mph. I repeat it for 30 minutes or so. My goal is to lose 95 lbs and my wifes is to lose 105. In September or October we plan to try to do a 5k. I started at 303 and my wife started at 250. I figure is we can do 3 miles on the treadmill consistently then doing a 5k should be doable. Good Luck to all on your journey.

    Thats awesome Im glad you guys are doing that together. It is completely doable for you to complete a 5k, I wish you the best of luck!

    Kudos to you and your wife for going on this adventure together!! It helps when you have a partner that is right there with you that you can love and lean on!!
