Negative Adjustments?

Hi, I recently downloaded accupedo to record my steps and linked it to myfitnesspal. I have a problem where instead of saying that I burned calories walking it adds them to my daily intake...

So I put in the food that I ate and I had about 300 calories left and then when I put in my steps for the day (about 1500 steps) it took off around 400 calories so I had -150 left?

I thought excersive was good for burning calories not gaining more...

Any help would be much appreciated

My fitbit would do this when I burned less in the day then MFP thought I should. If you told MFP that you are lightly active, but you weren't lightly active (1500 steps isn't that much) then it's just adjusting for what you actually burned according to the app. If you did more steps, you'd probably see an adjustment the other way ( calories added on).

If you go in your settings I think there's an option to turn off negative adjustments if you don't like it. I found it kept me honest with how active I truly am.

    Good morning!
Question for either of you...I would input minutes used in mopping or cleaning and it would show an estimate of calories burned under exercising. I purchased the Garmin Vivofit to monitor my steps...so my question is do I still log my minutes when cleaning or doing pushups etc..?
    Your input would be awesome!
