IpBike is an android app. Endomondo is also an app but available for both android & apple. Endomondo track distance using GPS and derive speed based on time & distance. It can track many activities including cycling (used this before switching to IpBike). Golden Cheetah is a computer program for Linux, Mac OS X, and Windows. (Not a fan of apple since the Macintosh II).
Cadence - the speed at which you are turning the crank/number of rotation per sec. The higher the cadence, the less stress on the knees. Typical is 70-90 or higher, I try to keep around 90 but drop to 60-70 or less in the hills.
Check Performance/Bike Nashbar - Cateye, Sigma, etc no GPS, wired, and close communication between sensors on the lower end. Ant+ & GPS on the lower end. Around $75 or less for HR/Cadence/Speed/Odo/etc.0 -

Thanks kcjchang - understood will probably go that way with a Cateye or similar for the trike and add a Fitbit for the regular exercise when fitness improves and I can do more. Cheers, Elle0

ENJOY!
Just done this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zSFYRiqodvU
so that's another 13.66 miles in the bank
Total so far: 34.66 (I know it's not much but Jan 2014 was 24.96 so it's already an improvement. I did bang on 1000 miles last year, aiming for at least 1500 this year)jimmckenna68 wrote: »ClareB13 well done with the turbo. Just got one too for when it is too icy and it's great.
