I have just started My Fitness Pal again and really trying hard. Am recording and saving foods, meals and recipes. However, I did set it up ages ago and there are old foods on it, which I do not eat any more which I would like to delete, but have no facility. How do you delete individual food items in your database you no long want?

If you have a lot of previous food item entries, it is a tedious and time-consuming process.
    From the MFP Help pages...

Every instance of each food has to be deleted, for it to disappear from the Recent list. Open View full report (printable) and do a ctrl+f to search for the food, and then go to each day and delete it. Good luck. I do that myself from time to time. You may want to save an original of the report before you delete anything, just for reference.
  • I've never chosen anything from their "Database", I always just use "Create Food" instead & don't ever add to their database either because they then won't allow you to remove it from your personal list, also if you do. The only thing that you are able to do currently, if you'd like to fix this; is to delete your current account/then create a new one but avoid doing anything with their database.
