Yay or nay.

(I've done it before and I feel like a weirdo sweating on the elliptical right next to the windows that overlook all the partiers. Deciding whether or not to go.)

Sure, why not unless you have previous other plans? I did an hour of Zumba to a video before making dinner because it was too cold all day for me to go out skiing!

Yeah, why not? You'll have your choice of the equipment.

    Thanks guys! Update:

Demographics - I think a med student (studying while on treadmill); some guy who looked like he's in the military; two guys I think are bouncers; one other nerd like me (but male)

    Partiers: nonexistent, for some reason

Activity: I did some resistance and a bit of cardio before a side stitch got to me (where do those come from, anyway?). I also realized that the scale isn't moving, so I need to make my cut a little less conservative

I'm glad I went, though. Thanks!

My biggest question is is to you is is why would you let some complete strangers potential opinion if your personal schedule and training impact you're goals?

Pick a goal. Go fight for it no matter what anyone says or thinks.

My answer is I just felt weird not partying on Saturday and going to the gym instead

I don't see how that's weird at all. Taking care of yourself and meeting a goal isn't weird. It's called training and it's what successful people do to succeed.

Glad you went. I honestly find my Friday and Saturday lifts are the most satisfying lifts if the week.

    ^5, guys :)

Yeah I don't know, it's just outside of cultural expectation and my own norm, too - usually I'd be out.
