I love making a smoothie in the morning with:
Plain Greek Yogurt
Frozen Berries
White Chia Seeds
AND Orange Juice

Since I make a large portion I use about 500ML of Orange Juice. Overall, I get about 65g of sugar in that smoothie. That seems too much to me.

Do you have any tips on making smoothies without Orange Juice? It seems to be the only option since I'm not a fan of Soy Milk or Almond Milk.

use the whole orange, minus the peel.
All that fiber is great for you, and almost negate the sugar from the orange.

Add a whole orange and some water. That way you get more fiber.

    My typical morning smoothie...
    .5 cup plain greek yogurt
    .5 cup mixed frozen fruit
    .5 cup blueberries
    .5 cup cooked cold oatmeal
    .5 cup water
    1 scoop protein powder

No juice, just water. It is pretty sweet. I'm not sure I would want it any sweeter but everyone has their own taste.

They make light juices now from V8 and ocean spray that have 5-50 calories per 8 oz. I think they have artificial sweeteners.

Ocean Spray has a light option for cranberry juice, i believe around 3g sugar. I also mainly use Almond Milk (unsweetened), gives it a nice flavor!

Maybe use 1/2 juice and 1/2 water so you still get that orange taste. Love the idea of using an orange.

I think I'll add 2 scoop of XPN Whey X (banana) protein powder. Almost no sugar or fat and it will give me the flavor I'm looking for without being too sweet.

I always use some form of milk... Almond milk or last night I made one with pineapple banana and coconut milk. It was delicious!! Tastes like a piña colada without alcohol

I use the light cranberry juice. It's only like 5 calories but adds a great flavor!
