Started a new plan two weeks ago. Was doing really well, lost 5 lbs.
Went out one night, drank 2 beers, ate a chicken sandwich. Next day I'm up 6 lbs.
Now I know that I wasn't exactly on plan, and I expected to take a hit, but 6 lbs??
Even if I weighed what I ate, it wouldn't have been 6 lbs worth. Frustrated today.
Time to start over I guess.

It's most likely water retention.0

Dont let it get you down, weight changes on a day to day basis. Remember them numbers aint everything, think about size & shape. If you losing weight and moving and training more your going to gain some muscle too. Dont let it get you down, it will balance out as time moves on. I have been in the same position, and questioned everything I was doing and eating (became really anal about it). But I learned to relax and now its working well for me. So chin up and you will be able to do it.0

Stop relying on the scale. As you can see it is inaccurate.0

Remember, Roughly 3500 calories equals a lb. In order to gain 6lbs of fat, you would need to eat at 21000 calories over your daily goal to do that.0

Unless you had a 15,000 calorie sandwich and a couple of 3,000 calorie beers, it's not fat that you gained, just some water weight. Don't sweat it.0

Don't worry about it so much--remember, your weight changes throughout the day as well. One day won't make or break you. You've got this!0

So many things affect our weight: age, calories, water (beer), more muscle, hormones, carbs, and on and on. In a couple of days, you will probably weigh less. I had the same problem. I am starting to finally lose some weight but I have to be very dedicated. I'm keeping the calories and carbs low and throwing in some exercise. Keep with your plan and you'll see it drop again. Or maybe you'll notice a shift, eg looser pants. They say to look at other factors besides weight to gauge your loss. I know it's discouraging, but you can do it!0

Thanks for the encouragement, I'll keep at it and see what happens.0
