Fitbit-cardio calories burned?

i have linked my fit bit to my fitness pal account. It adds in calories for the amount of steep steps I've taken --am I supposed to also manually enter my cardio (running, lifting)? Or would it be counted twice? The calories I get back because of my steps seem much lower than the ones I've earned running.

Depends.. which Fitbit did you get?0

I have the Fitbit one and I have the both synced so I just let it doe it's thing cause it actually calculates the difference of net and gross calories burned so you don't have to do the math. Also on my Fitbit one if I am going to start a vigorous exercise like the treadmill or elliptical before I start I hold the button for a few second til it vibrates then the countdown starts and that will record your activity record. If you sync the two devices only add exercise calories burned for any additional you have done without the Fitbit on. Hope this helps.0
