How to weigh some foods?

Hello,
I am wondering what is the easiest or best way to weigh food like peanut butter and mayo, etc. I usually just measure by teaspoon or whatever but I know it's not really that accurate. I can't seem to figure out how to weigh it accurately. How do some others do this? Also liquids should they be weighed or just measured in a measuring cup?

For my peanut butter I weigh my tablespoon first and see how many grams it is then put the peanut butter in it and do the math.
Liquids should be measured in cups and solids weighed. I am no expert but that's what I found when I did my research.0 -
Do you have scales? Put the jar of peanut butter on the scales before removing your spoonfuls. The difference in weights before and after will be how much you've eaten.
If you like, you can "tare" the scles when you put the jar on, and the the minus figure after you've taken your portion will be how much it weighed.0 -
I weigh my spoon/knife and then put on the product, then weigh again0

Thanks, I will try both of those. I do have a kitchen scale so I have been weighing some things but not losing weight so I know I have to weigh everything.0

^ This. By far the easiest way to measure grams of peanut butter and butter in general. I like to keep my jar/carton on the scale as I'm portioning it out so that I know to put some back if it's too much

This is a good idea. For something like toast I will also put a napkin or something down, put the toast on and tare it, then put a blob on until it reaches the serving size I'm after.

Depends.
If I'm putting nut butter in oatmeal, I put the spoon on top of the bowl and tare it, then just dip it in the butter and put it back in the bowl (or you could just tare the jar and see how much you took that way).
If I'm putting it on a sandwich or something, I just tare the plate with the sandwich before putting it on (I don't lick the knife, so it doesn't count whatever is on it that way).0
