Does anyone know how to adjust the total amount of stairs on Fitbit? when I am on the treadmill it tends to add stairs and I would like to take them out.

Isn't that a question to ask the fitbit help desk?
this is from the Fitbit site: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Feature-Requests/Manually-Delete-Steps-amp-Floors-Feature/idi-p/526764

I don't think there's any way to back them out short of requesting it from Fitbit Support.
I notice the same thing from time to time as well but it's usually just one or two flights over 10-15 miles (I assume error caused by changes in barometric pressure)... Just curious - how many flights does it add for you during a typical session?0 -
Any time you log exercise it will overide any steps added in that time frame...I'd imagine that would include stairs.0

In three walking miles, it added 24 flights.
I didn't want to sit on hold at Fitbit support and I couldn't get their chat to work.
I know I was able to adjust when the force was out, but things have changed.0 -
Caitlin, that's great to know!! I should probably just add in my time on the treadmill, rather than wear the watch, I just enjoy the heart rate monitor. LolCaitlinW19 wrote: »Any time you log exercise it will overide any steps added in that time frame...I'd imagine that would include stairs.

Hmmm.... that's too much to just be atmospheric conditions... which Fitbit do you use and are you doing anything other than just straight running/walking while on the treadmill?0 -
That's what I thought. No I am just walking / running. Although, that was a couple days ago and yesterday went fine and today it did not add any stairs and I went a mile.
The treadmill is in the basement so it is cold and fluctuating and I'm short so the distance from the ground to the treadmill which is tall may have confused the band.treadmill with an occasional ponytail fix... It might be a combination of that. Maybe it will adjust to me lol.
Oh and I have the chargehr. Other than the occasional stair situation I love it and it's accurate, comparison to my other old Fitbit.bennettinfinity wrote: »In three walking miles, it added 24 flights.

Hmm, that's weird. I get extra floors when I'm walking uphill outside (which I don't care, because it's kinda cool to see how much elevation these hills are equivalent to!) but I've never had any on the treadmill. I have the Charge HR as well. Very strange.0

Yeah, the only thing I think might throw it off would be excessive arm movement, but even then you'd have to be doing a lot for 24 floors over 3 miles... beyond that I'm stumped0 -
It hasn't happened since that day, so I don't know what happened.0
